I trust you and your family doing well as we continue to journey through this crisis. I have been prayerfully asking the Lord for much wisdom in guiding Maranatha through critical decisions that must be made which affect the health and well-being of the congregation. As we all know, life is filled with transitions and we need to make adjustments, when warranted, in our lives. After gathering information from our federal, state, and local officials, the Lord has led me to temporarily suspend all ministry-related activities until further notice.
In order to protect our congregation from the spread of the coronavirus, the Pastor and Deacons of Maranatha have decided to suspend all Wednesday Family Enrichment Night activities and all in- person Sunday Worship Celebrations for the foreseeable future. We will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available.
The Lord tests our faith in various ways, and I believe this is one of them. Worship is not restricted only to the House of God. It can be done everywhere we go in life. The scripture says in Psalm 75:1, “We praise you, God, we praise you, for your Name is near; people tell of your wonderful deeds.” Even though we are not in the Maranatha facilities, we can continue to worship as a church family together at 10:00 a.m. Moving forward, all Maranatha Worship Celebrations can be viewed on our website, YouTube, FaceBook, and the BulletinPlus app until further notice.
It is also my heart’s desire that Maranatha remain fiscally strong during these challenging times. Therefore, we are encouraging you to continue to tithe, and we are trusting the Lord that you can even give over and above for the sake of those who may be struggling financially and to ensure that Maranatha continues to meet our budgetary needs, to the glory of God. Deuteronomy 15:10 says, “Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to.”
Giving to our Lord is a part of worship and as we consider God’s glorious salvation on the cross for our sins, His protection, provision, and presence in our lives, we must return thanks to Him for all His goodness toward us. You may give your tithes and offerings through the BulletinPlus app by clicking on the credit card icon on the lower right corner. You may give on PushPay by texting MBCSA to 77977 and follow the link in the reply message, or pay through this website by selecting the “Give” tab. You may also mail it to Maranatha Bible Church, 7855 E. Loop 1604 North, Converse, TX 78109.
Maranatha, we have always been a resilient people and now is the time for us to rise, shine, and give comfort and hope through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Awaiting the Shout!
